Website Redesign Checklist

What to check before redesigning your website.

Start with the problem customers face. A site may need clearer services, easier mobile contact or a few targeted repairs. A complete rebuild should follow the evidence and the scope, not just a preference for a new look.

Record what works before changing it

List the pages people visit, the enquiries they generate and useful content customers already find. Use Search Console and analytics where available. Keep a record of the current URLs, titles, forms and integrations.

Test the enquiry journey on your phone

Open a service page as a new visitor. Can you understand the offer, see where the business operates and find the next action? Test links, form errors, confirmation messages and the destination of phone or WhatsApp buttons.

Choose repair, redesign or rebuild

A broken form or unclear service description may need a focused repair. A redesign can improve layout and content on the existing platform. A rebuild is a larger decision when the platform or required functionality no longer fits.

Plan existing URLs and search visibility

Keep useful URLs where possible. If an address must change, map it to the relevant replacement and plan a permanent redirect. Update internal links, canonical tags and the sitemap. Avoid sending every old service page to an unrelated homepage.

Confirm content, access and integrations

Identify who can access the domain, hosting and website. List forms, email destinations, payment tools, booking services and tracking that must keep working. Confirm who supplies and approves new text, images and policy content.

Agree a launch and recovery plan

Keep a recoverable copy of the existing site. Test the agreed pages, forms, links and redirects before and after launch. Check mobile layout, image loading and search access. Assign responsibility for fixes and handover.

Measure enquiries after launch

Record the launch date and compare relevant visits and completed enquiries over a suitable period. A WhatsApp click is not a sent message, and a form submission is not automatically a qualified customer. Search visibility can fluctuate after URL changes.

What should you send us?

Send your website address, what is not working, your main services, target country and language, and the functions you need to keep. Share public examples you like. Do not send passwords through the enquiry form.

Plan your website with useful examples

Explore real work, compare the scope of a quote and decide what your existing website needs.
